Bio

Okay, so here’s the bio that I hand out whenever anyone insists on something more formal than “I do stuff,” which is surprisingly frequent as their request is also met with at least one “meh” from me. Pardon the ridiculous third person writing. Meh.

An educator and entrepreneur who has never accepted the status quo, Aron Solomon has over a quarter century of experience in the business of schools and innovation.

Having done everything one can do in excellent schools, from teaching and coaching sports to fundraising, student recruitment, setting strategy, and running schools, Aron was awarded a Ford Fellowship in 2003.

As his leadership project as a Ford Fellow, Aron launched the first independent school in-house consulting business.

Aron also became Chief Operating Officer of a global e.learning initiative. In this role, he established and communicated the school’s online brand throughout the world with a focus on India and China.

Aron was the Chief Executive Officer and first employee of THINK Global School, the most innovative high school in the world, where students study in three international cities each academic year.

Aron is viewed as a thought leader in the world of education and innovation. He is currently a global brand advocate and advisor, as well as the co-Founder and Vision Holder of SVbstance, a program that imparts the attributes, values and techniques of the world’s most successful business culture, Silicon Valley.

Aron holds an undergraduate degree in Political Theory from Trinity College of the University of Toronto, a graduate degree and teaching certificate in English and Economics from McGill University, a law degree from the University of New Hampshire, and a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from the Kellogg School of Management in Chicago, where he graduated as a Kellogg Scholar and had the great good fortune to be taught leadership by Dr. Deepak Chopra. He is also a 2011 graduate of Sweden’s leading-edge Hyper Island Master Class.

Among Aron’s passions are a broad commitment to global charitable work, playing and watching a wide variety of sports, and being a highly active chef. Having traveled two million miles over the past decade, Aron always indulges his love for street food, particularly in China.
